Frequently Asked Questions over Stainless Steel Skimmer Spoon 18 cm

What do you use an Ø18 cm stainless steel skimmer for?

This large skimmer, spider strainer, or skimmer spoon lifts fried snacks, dumplings, noodles, pasta, and vegetables out of hot water or oil. The wire mesh basket allows liquid to drain quickly.

What is the size of the long-handled skimmer?

The fine-mesh head has a diameter of 18 cm and the total length is 44.5 cm. This makes this large skimmer suitable for spacious, deep pans and larger portions.

When do I choose the 18 cm spider strainer instead of the 14 or 16 cm?

Choose Ø18 cm when you want to scoop larger portions at once. The Ø14 and Ø16 cm versions are easier to handle in smaller pans and for normal quantities.

Can the large stainless steel skimmer be safely used in hot oil?

Yes, the Premium 304 stainless steel is heat-resistant. Use the long handle, let food drain briefly over the pan, and work carefully to prevent splashing hot water or oil.

Can the stainless steel spider strainer go in the dishwasher?

Yes, the skimmer spoon is dishwasher safe. Rinse oil and food residue directly from the mesh and dry the basket after washing if you want to minimize water spots.
